Privacy Policy
This policy explains how No More Locked Doors Richmond handles personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Last updated: 3 August 2026
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, email address and the service address.
- Details of the work requested and performed, including lock types and key numbers.
- Evidence of identity and authority sighted before we open a lock (we record that it was sighted; we do not retain copies unless a job specifically requires it).
- Payment records and invoices.
- Basic technical information when you visit this website, such as pages requested and approximate location derived from your IP address.
Why we collect it
We collect personal information so we can quote, attend, complete and invoice locksmith work; verify that a person is entitled to access a property or key system; meet record-keeping obligations; and respond to warranty or complaint matters.
Where you provide someone else's details — for example a tenant, agent or family member — please make sure they know we will hold those details for the purposes above.
Key and security records
Records relating to restricted key systems and master key schedules are security-sensitive. We keep them only for as long as we service the system, store them separately from general records, and release information about a system only to the registered key holder or their written delegate.
Who we share information with
- Our payment processor and accounting provider, to take payment and issue invoices.
- Lock and key system manufacturers, where a restricted key or warranty claim requires it.
- Insurers, legal advisers, or law enforcement where we are required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the software we use to run the business, including email and invoicing, may store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to use providers that apply protections comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
Security and retention
We keep records secure with access controls and, where records are held electronically, password protection. Financial records are kept for the period required by Australian tax law. Other records are destroyed or de-identified when they are no longer needed.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing admin@quickprolocksmiths.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and will explain our reasons if we cannot give access.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details on our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
